As part of my ongoing personal and professional development I am currently training in Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT). It is a short term evidence based approach where you and I work together collaboratively with your emotions helping you to become aware of, make sense of, regulate, accept, express, and transform emotional experience. In order to offer and maintain high quality therapy I am regularly supervised and ensure that I am fully informed about the latest developments in the psychotherapeutic field.

Like so many of us, I have been shaped by a multitude of cultures from a young age. Furthermore, I have worked and lived in several countries opening myself to a rich variety of different values. All these experiences have contributed to developing a professional interest in working with individuals who have a variety of cultural, ethnic and minority roots. I believe that all this has provided me with a profound understanding, sensitivity and open-minded awareness to the challenges that arise for clients coming from such backgrounds.

In addition to my interest in working with cultural issues, I am also passionate about working creatively in the room using a range of art techniques, guided imagery or experiential work. I believe all these techniques can enrich the unconscious aspect of the therapeutic process and can promote increased self-awareness as well as self-expression.
